Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how VolyaVPN ("VolyaVPN", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our VPN application and related services (the "Service"). VolyaVPN is a fast, private VPN for Android. Privacy is the reason the Service exists, and we designed it to collect as little about you as possible.
1. Our privacy commitment
We do not log, monitor, store, or sell your browsing activity, DNS queries, or the content of your network traffic. We do not maintain records that associate what you do online with your identity. We run the Service on a data-minimization basis: if we do not need a piece of information to operate the Service, we do not collect it.
2. Information we collect
To provide the Service, we collect the minimum data necessary:
- Email address — used to create and authenticate your account, recover access, and send essential service notices. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile identifier from Google.
- VPN public key — generated on your device. Your corresponding private key never leaves your phone and is never transmitted to us.
- Connection timestamps — the time your device establishes a VPN session, used to enforce the per-account device limit and to prevent abuse. These are not logs of the sites you visit or the data you transfer.
- Account and billing metadata — such as subscription or plan status, where applicable.
3. Information we do not collect
- Your browsing history or the websites and apps you use.
- DNS queries or the domains you resolve.
- The content, source, or destination of your network traffic.
- A persistent history of the IP addresses you connect from.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information above to: operate and maintain the Service; authenticate you and secure your account; enforce plan and device limits; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and prohibited use; comply with legal obligations; and communicate with you about the Service.
5. Legal basis and retention
We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), to pursue our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and to comply with law. We retain account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated account data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
6. Service providers
We rely on a small number of third parties to run the Service, including hosting and server infrastructure providers and, if you choose it, Google Sign-In for authentication. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Abuse prevention
To protect our network and other users, we operate automated abuse-detection measures (for example, detecting patterns associated with prohibited use). Where abuse is detected, we may suspend or block the responsible account in accordance with our Terms of Service. These measures do not involve logging your general browsing activity.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections and on-device key generation so your private key never leaves your phone. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.
9. International data transfers
VolyaVPN operates servers in multiple countries, including the United States and Ukraine. Depending on the server you choose and where our infrastructure is located, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure your information remains protected wherever it is processed.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@volyavpn.com. You may delete your account at any time.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
